The best part of the happy hardcore was not the song, but Tom just sitting there staring at us while the lights flashed. It feels like the back half of one of those muffled caramelldansen memes when you go from the outside to the inside o the house.

edit: I had to do it, it's on my channel, not linking here because that'd be rude (and honestly this edit is about the absolute edge of self-promotion that I feel comfortable with)

"I'm not gonna hand out vanity rock to people, that'd be ridiculous!"

Hey. New business card idea.

"filming uniform for this series" as if his entire presence on the internet since the 2000's hasn't been a white guy in a red t-shirt
@
"Woah Emma" popular song of the summers of 1888 and ... 2026
@
2:35 they actually call boiling sugar water "prison napalm" for that exact reason
@
14:46 I like that rock-chopper, it's designed so specifically for the job, and it makes a nice gentle clacky sound
@
I just realised why 90s happy hardcore was brought up.
Caramelldansen.

The return of Tom Scott has been, by far, the best thing to come out of 2026 so far

"Ah, what nice candy!"

"TOM SCOTT"
@
I can somehow hear why people'd get tired of "Whoa, Emma" quickly

It seems like mutual free advertising. Tom Scott promotes a local business and they get to remind everyone Tom Scott can be anywhere, watching, always.
@
No one should apologize for a 90s happy hard-core remix of an old song. It was glorious

I'm slightly disappointed "broken rock" isn't called gravel.
@
the 90's dutch happy hardcore was completely necessary thank you

"red, my uniform for this series" said Tom Scott, known for wearing a red shirt for the last 150 hundred years

WHOA EMMA โœ…

I hope one of those people who says "ugh tom scott is everywhere these days" picked up a stick of rock and saw the name of their nemesis embossed within

Most YouTubers: buy my stupid merch
Tom: What do you mean my full name
@
So there we have it: Tom Scott is now a famous rock star.
@
There's no full version of the remix. But the original sheet music is public domain, so you too can make one! | โ–ถ The next episode is on Nebula right now: nebula.tv/videos/tomscott-oh-no-i-sympathized-withโ€ฆ
