Tom Scott โ€ข4 May 2026 35 here now

Hello from inside a tiny boat.

At Peasholm Park, I ride with the world's smallest crewed navy, and scare at least two seagulls. | ๐Ÿ”’ AD: Take back your personal data with 60% off an Incogni annual plan: https://incogni.com/tomscott

1:40 well I'm very happy that I now have evidence that I didn't make this up! I remember going to this show, but it seemed like it was just some childhood fabrication
@
22:38 Seagull: "I love hanging out by the dock in this pond during spring time...WTF WAS THAT!?!...I'm out of here."
@
I can only imagine what Gary "Everyone's favourite Gary Brannan" Brannan would have said when he heard ๐Ÿ˜†

I think the real fun about Tom Scott Videos is that he still has a lot of whimsy. Like, just watching him being fascinated and enjoying things like being inside a little ship. Like, it's informative, but his whimsy makes it fun.
@
"Next time, or right now on Nebula - I drive something nicknamed "The Floating Coffin", get scared by a moth, and apologize to a seagull" - last week's episode
Those are definitely all things that happened literally in this video
@
gary has every right to swear at you for not taking him!
@
The three unmoving moths just outside of Tom's view was some hilarious foreshadowing
@
I'm told it is a perfectly normal size boat

I bloody love Peasholm Park. We used to holiday there and my brother and I were arguing one day - I said they must be remote control but my brother said there were people. Someone must have heard us because a warship came over and little fingers waved at us out of four port holes. For a ten year old, it was magical
@
The unmitigated joy on Tom's face throughout this piece is such a fun thing in itself.
@
6:30 "I remember working with Colin Furze, if you know, mad Lincolnshire inventor".
Colin will be flattered.
@
mad cap'n tom sails again!

Moths count as aircraft on the Ark Royal.

0:37 Somehow it never occurred to me that at some point in time, Tom was a child. Assumed he'd just sprouted into the world as a fully grown, ambiguously aged intrepid adventurer.
@
This was already incredible but the fact that it pissed off Gary is Chefs Kiss
@
the "tom scott introducing ridiculous places" compilation makers about to go crazy with this one
@
"Should we warn Tom about the moths?"
"....Nah."
@
I was entertained by the way Tom's accent gradually got more Yorkie as he was talking with the park staff and regressing to childhood.
@
"Oh blimey there's a pedalo coming in at speed" is the most British phrase I've heard in a while

I may be the luckiest person in Yorkshire. ๐Ÿ—บ There's a map linked in the description! ๐Ÿ”’ AD: And possibly the most awkward end to a sponsor read I've ever done! Take back your personal data with 60% off an Incogni annual plan: htincogni.com/tomscott
