Banks aren't charities. They're businesses that make more money when you don't know how they operate. Most of their secrets are buried in the fine print or hidden behind a smile at the counter. An inf
Such a high-quality video! 🏦 Thank you, List 25, for sharing the incredibly practical 'dark sides' that banks often hide. I really resonated with the part at [10:07] about simply calling and requesting a waiver for maintenance or overdraft fees – a secret that few people take advantage of. The knowledge you shared helps me manage my finances much smarter. The content is very visual and easy to understand; I hope the channel continues to release more useful series like this! 🔥📈
A few things I would say a bank cannot legally opt you into overdraft on ATM/POS transactions on a consumer account.
Overdraft fees aren't typically refunded unless it's fraud or bank error.
Posting order is regulatory if they are manipulating posting order to increase fees that should be reported to the CFPB, the banks posting order should be listed on the overdraft disclosure that you should be receiving yearly along with the privacy notice.
If you're planning a trip you should call your financial institution to let them know the area you will be traveling to, they can then put a travel alert on your card preventing any issues. Hope this helps!

Not long ago I needed a new debit card, so I went to my bank as they print them there. My card was expired for almost 2 weeks which made it so I couldn't move money around since all that was connected to the card. While I was there the banker reversed 6 over drafts totaling just over $200! I didn't even ask, just told him what was going on...
This should be more accurately titled 25 ways your bank screws you without lube. It’s also why I quit using commercial banks over 30 years ago. I use a credit union instead. Still some of these things such as holds on large deposits are out of my credit union’s control, so it’s good to now these things.
Your pin code can be anywhere from 4 to about 12 numbers, Try calling your banks number on back of card and ask them to use a non 5, or more digit pin code
(not all banks may do this)
(some cases you may have to go into the bank) - I have been using a 5 digit one for years
Benefits - if card is ever stolen, and they use a software to scan for your code - the software will be looking for 4 digits, not 5, or more.
I always wondered how banks can justify their stance that it takes days or weeks to clear a check or transfer money while they do it in microseconds. I know why they do it, I just don't know how they justify it.

If there is fraud then you simply call the bank and say “someone took $537 of YOUR money “ 😂
