Depending on which car I drive, I'm snowed in once levels reach 3 inches. Same goes for 1/4" of ice. I live in back woods country so stocked pantry and flashlights are always readily available in my house.

Three worst kinds of weather I've driven in: Rain, fog and snow so heavy I can't see the road or other vehicles and using my headlights made it worse. Icy roads - I once had an out of control car pass me going backward on an icy bridge at 50 mph. Headlight glare in the rain at night on high speed roads with no divider so I had to aim at oncoming headlights to stay on the road. I'm so glad I don't drive anymore.

2:44 I agree I sometimes pull over when I stop behind another car because I know the car behind me will not stop in time,

I have seen Waymo taxis in Atlanta

As someone who doesn't drive due to migraines, this is promising for my future. Thankfully, most people with migraines don't have this issue, but when I get my migraines, my depth perception gets messed up, making it difficult to judge distances. As this technology becomes more affordable, this would make driving an option for me. A migraine aura is distracting, but with the depth perception issue on top, I would struggle to keep calm. Having a car helping me to judge distance & warning me when I get a migraine would take the anxiety out it for me. To be able to press a button & have a car help me stay vigilent would be so reassuring. It would also help me pull over safely if the migraine aura is particularly bad & I have to wait it out. A total game changer.

Driving a Chevy Cobalt at 2am, in the backroads of North Dakota during a snow storm with maybe 3ft of visibility. It looked like when in Star Wars, travel at light speed.

Heavy snow, mountain pass = nightmare, unless I'm driving and I have good tires and fourwheel drive.. use to drive to blue mesa cdot every morning in Colorado.. lots of lake effect snow mixed with wind and low temps made for blizzard conditions on a regular basis

I hit heavy traffic and I put my sunglasses on and shut my eyes.

My worst weather related driving nightmare happened just this past December, heading back to Maine from Montreal Quebec. Waze had me enter the US through Vermont, which drops you into the Vermont skiing area and of course its snowing. Barely in Vermont, passing a Semi in the mountains, the truck hits a pot hole full of mud and snow, splashing the brown slush across my windshield. I lose 100% visibility through the windshield at Highway speed and throught I was cooked. I was able to get the wipers going, and they were struggling to clear the gunk, but they eventually did the job. Once I put my heart back in my chest, I had to call my wife just to make sure I was actually still alive.

Blizzard conditions in northeastern Ohio did it for me. When the snow you are attempting to drive through is higher than the top of your car, it's really freaky!

Incredible job on this video. Well researched, thought-provoking, and presented in a way that keeps you engaged throughout. Thank you for taking the time to create it. I’d also love to see a List25 video on peptides and longevity there’s a lot of fascinating science emerging in that space.

SCARIEST!!!! was coming going North on I-95 in a rainstorm. So much rain could just barely see tail lights of car in front of us. Too scared to stop (was afraid folks behind us would assume we were moving)......Really scared to keep going (if the car in front of us had driven off a bridge we would have followed them)
@
Extra fact. 2.5. The show Bull had an episode about an autonomous car malfunctioning and someone getting a severe injury
@
Dude I am right there with you about wanting to stop completely and rolling because of the car behind me.
@
I do not trust self driving cars any more than I trust drunk drivers -- or texting drivers.
