Well being is a term I haven't heard spoken in at least 2 decades. That's how rare it is in the XXI century.

damn.. this dude just said a lot without really saying anything at all.

A reminder that what we call ‘reality’ might just be the interface consciousness uses to survive, not the thing itself.

Federico Faggin's book, Irreducible, is not to be missed.

Had to pause to go grab lunch at 39 minutes. Good simple explanations of advanced things. I'm enjoying it thanks!

44:50 This might explain how the “soul” (if such a thing exists) is experiencing multiple lives at once.

I guess one metaphor to use is that when someone writes a story, they may use a pen, ink and paper, or maybe a keyboard and a computer, but these devices are not the story, nor is the one who writes down the words, the story. The story comes to life through describing the environment and the characters, and how they all interact, but it matters to have just the right amount of detail. If a novelist would describe the environment the characters are interacting with down to every atom and every force working on every particle in that environment or the bodies of the characters, the story, the writer wishes to tell, would end drowned in the 'noise'. But if the writer fails to provide enough details, a reader would not be able to make sense of what is happening.

Every story relies on the right balance of information, and on the quality of the information as is pertains to the meaning within the story. And every story also needs a conscious reader, able to feel with the characters, follow the events, or otherwise the story will remain just words, never experienced by anyone other but the writer itself.

We use our brains to decode reality, and at the same time we are just preciving our brain in our head. So the idea of a user interface is really easy to understand and that if we had to know how all this reality truly happened it would probably paralyze the "user" with the understanding of actual reality.

So basically what this video is Explaining is " Jagat Mithya" The Metaphor: Think of a mirage or a dream. When you dream, the dream feels completely real, but it vanishes upon waking. Similarly, the world exists in your everyday experience, but lacks absolute, permanent reality.
a core concept in Advaita Vedanta.

Can we just admit that we have no idea and that we can not comprehend what exploded when or where

The most terrifying thought is not that there's MORE, that would be reassuring. Most terrifying thought is known as solipsism - Solipsism is the philosophical theory that only one's own mind is sure to exist. Originating from the Latin solus ("alone") and ipse ("self"), it asserts that the external world and other people's minds cannot be conclusively known and might merely be creations of your own consciousness.

If you consider the short time we live, then surely our most natural state is death, as life is only a brief pause in the great scheme of things.
