I didn't know there's such a thing as structural immunity for US owned buildings, it's good to know

Misleading as usual from the NYT. The city is a Hezbollah stronghold where houses and buildings are used as weapons & command centers. Their destruction is legal per current war norms. And let's hope that peace eventually arrives for both sides once Hezbollah is removed from Lebanon.

An entire article ignoring the basic facts. Shame on you WSJ

Why would an American think his home in Southern Leabonan would be safe?

Apparently 'American Colonization' only goes one way. This is the bigotry of low expectations.

Don't own property where the people in control turn your homes into terror nest's

Be not fooled. These people support Hez bollah and Iran. They only find it convenient to pretend they are "American". They would side with Iran and Hez bollah against the US any day. Those same people dream of kicking out native Christians from Lebanon and take over their ancestral homeland and who have been there before Islam became a thing. They say it every day. I'm Lebanese and I know very well.

This video is purposely misleading people who don't know the region. Bintj beil was maybe the main Hezbollah stronghold, everyone participated and yes all the houses has weapons

Weird how you dont talk to Christians in this border region, oops. This is a complex issue, dont dumb it down.

As a percentage of properties, American pwned is not disproportionately higher, so they are not targeting "American owned" buildings.

Now WSJ should do a segment on American owned things being destroyed by Hezbollah. That will be disproportionate.

Those are not US homes, they are a home abroad that is owned by someone from the US. I am very sad for these families, especially all the history that was lost.

Yeah, it's their vacation homes that they visit maybe once a year. These people are wealthy enough to own one house in the US and one abroad and be able to travel there regularly. I would focus on the on the people that are living in Lebanon, that are actually loosing their only home as well as their lives

My family has some property in Lebanon. I’m not worried about the property in Beirut, but I worry about our house in Mlikh that’s been in our family for over a century. It’s a Christian village, but close to the fighting. My great-grandmother, who could actually read and speak Aramaic, grew up there and was buried there about 10 years ago. Can we please end this unnecessary destruction and suffering.
