This Argentina might be mentally the toughest national team that has ever played the game. They are not spectacular at all. If you look at them on paper player by player, they only have a handful of true world class top-20 players (Messi of course, Alvarez, Enzo and Lautaro). But they work as a unit with extreme determination. Something that we saw in the 80's and 90's German teams. Not the best individual players, just a well oiled "killing machine". They have played in THREE of the last FOUR World Cup Finals, won Copa America twice, won every single penalty shootout with Emi Martinez, etc. They are tough to beat.
