Everything they described is a good day in retail and many other industries. They are out of touch. They are scared of inspections and judgemental scores. Welcome to hospitality. Teachers are mollycoddled and have very little to show for it. Why does every child have a laptop on their desk? What does a primary age kid need a laptop for?
If you’re this Unstable you should NOT be in charge of a School OR a Classroom! Aren’t these inspections a KNOWN part or your bloody job? If you aren’t Inspected how can we be sure you’re doing your jobs. Absolutely Ridiculous.

This sounds like parents should be worried and the feeling left with the teachers is served. If you have nothing to hide then there is nothing to fear.
The Headmistress who killed herself was clearly already mentally ill; it was not OFSTED'S responsibility to review her medical history before making an inspection. If Headmasters/mistresses and teachers generally cannot cope with the concept of accountability then they are in the wrong highly paid job!
I would say that if a simple regular inspection is going to push you over the edge.... there is definitely something else going on and nobody like this should be in charge of a school.
This is so pathetic. Teachers and administrators are so inept and unstable that they are threatening to kill themselves if people check to see if they are getting their work done?

Same logic, no? If a simple inspection is enough to push you over the edge, you need therapy, not to ban people holding you and your team to account…
