Дуже цікаво. А скільки приблизно застосунків НЕ потрапило в цей список?

With settlement only?

This isn’t even the bare minimum, it’s already required by law for the EU to do. They act as if they’ve done something extraordinary with this so they can get out of actually defying Israel in any possible way. It’s just pathetic!

All Israeli products must be banned. Not just occupation. Israel will lie about goods not being from occupation... They consider any occupied land as Israel.

What a pathetic joke the EU is.
@
Oh. When would they ban trade from Turkish occupied northern Cypriot?

Double standards. Meanwhile the judgement that this is based on is an advisory position.
@
How devious
@
Why not just sanction the entire state itself?
@
Fantastic
@
What do the settlements actually export? That seems useless, as opposed to banning trade with the nation until it stops supporting those settlements

Israel has been busted multiple times washing these zones by importing and shipping from them. If you don't ban trade directly with Israel, you're just wasting your time.
@
Just talks and plans, no implementations?
@
Why don't they just not buy anything from Israel at all? The government there can stop the illegal settlements, and the people can vote in a government to stop the illegal settlements if a trade embargo starts hurting them they will
@
Wow, not for Israelis ? Don’t be afraid 😱
@
So they’re having talks…
…about backing a plan…
…for boycotting trade.
But only against the settlers…
…that they deem are illegal.

So nothing then.
@
This is far too late and too little
@
Why just from the settlements? Feels like a 1/2 measure.

Were the settlements doing any direct trade with Europe in the first place?? Should it not be the whole country?
@
Any time someone tries to impose trade sanctions, it sets up an economic incentive to evade those sanctions. In this case I can see shell companies being set up with mailing addresses in Israel that would allow them to not be suject to these restrictions who are actually just warehouses that accept delivery of goods from restricted settlements so that they can be resold as unsanctioned "products of Israel". The shell company might not even need a physical warehouse, but just act as a legal fiction.
This isn't a reson to not implement such a restriction scheme, but does mean that the language of the law needs to include peovisions covering such attempts to get around the restrictions.
