If you enjoyed this video, I also wrote a comprehensive book covering the generational wealth strategies of old money families like them. Itโ€™s just $12.75. ๐Ÿ˜Š I truly appreciate any support for the channel โ€” no pressure to buy at all! ๐Ÿ™Œ It helps me scale and keep dropping deeper videos. ๐Ÿ‘‰ httfcm.finaius.com/old-money

Chills all over when the HOUSE OF MERICI was introduced ๐Ÿ˜Š

The generational conviction and ruthlessness of this family to keep hold of power is mind-bending. Veni, vidi, Medici. ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ’ซ
@
The Medici mastered the art of power, but they also knew well the power of art.
@
I like how Lorenzo gets better looking after he gains control of Florence. : )
@
Every time the productions gets better and better
@

The godfathers of the Renaissance.
@
An interesting fact about the Medici family is that they were not originally nobles but rose to power through banking and commerce. Their bank, the Medici Bank, became one of the most prosperous and respected institutions in Europe during the 15th century.

FINAiUS always coming with heat like this
@
Broooooo, I just read a book about them. So happy you did a video. There like zero documentaries on them. Truly powerfully people.

as an Italian I suggest you end the story with the last of the Medici, Gian Gastone's sister, Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici (1667-1743), because when the Grand Duchy passed to the family of the Duke of Lorraine, it was the decision to sign the so-called Family Pact that is remembered. Anna Maria Luisa in fact drew up an agreement with Francis Stephen of Lorraine, signed on 31 October 1737, according to which the works of art collected by the Medici were delivered to the new Grand Duke on the condition that they remained forever tied to the city of Florence and the State of Tuscany (ยซon the express condition that of what is for the ornament of the State, for the utility of the public and to attract the curiosity of foreigners, nothing will be transported or removed outside the Capital and the State of the Grand Duchyยป). We owe to her that Florence has preserved, almost unchanged, the majority of its artistic, historical and cultural heritage. then you could talk about the other families, ISavoia, I Gonzaga, the ESTE, I FARNESE and others, good work

Just started โ€œThe Ascent of Moneyโ€ man you are world class at turning history into documentary.
@
โ€œAll she could do was bear ten childrenโ€ is a wild way to phrase that.
@
Medici history is basically like:
"Oh no, it's so over!"
"Hell yeah, we're so back!!"
@
2:41 "But ambition alone isn't enough. He needs money." Never forget that.
