Give a man a shovel, he can dig a hole, give him two shovels and he can dig a much deeper hole, how deep does he have to dig it before he can't get out and it becomes his grave ?
@
One thing you notice about Trump is that he blames other people thus neflecting any blame on himself,if you read a lot of his back comments he is always blaming others for his ineplitude!!

He blinks every time a dollar goes down the drain. They won't settle on the current terms as America are really an interloper in the region.

"other presidents" did not do it becasue they knew the Sh*t storm it would cause

It will be a very long war, time to write off the Gulf.

Gas went from $3.80 yesterday to $4.30 today. 😭

Power plants and bridges...so plain old terrorism from the US

Diplomacy matters now more than ever. The stakes couldn't be higher.

The only problem now is that any idiotic hothead with a bazooka or a frigate can restart hostilities with a twitchy finger as an over-reaction. And that doesn't have to be an official member of any armed forces, it can be just someone in Iran, the US, Yeme, Israel...
And it was all quiet under Obama's deal.

He's like a stuck record!
@
He repeatedly uses the phrase that other presidents should have handled the situation, apparently forgetting that that list includes himself.

Point 1 of the MoU essentially requires that all involved parties stand down, including in Lebanon. Israel is an involved party and at no time has the shooting stopped in Lebanon, nor will it unless leverage is applied. Israel was a major factor in starting this war and Iran wants the USA to put them back in their box. Trump knows that will cost him dearly and is hoping that a few missiles will get him out of the obligation.

The Tacodon is known to shy away from smaller animals prepared to confront it. Its large size and loud roar belies a cowardly disposition. It also has a tiny brain that cannot cope with attacks by more intelligent adversaries. It will often empty its bowels in fear and run away, hoping that its loud roar will still impress other animals in the forest enough to submit to its tiny paws.

I thought the US won the war months ago? Iran has no more military, right? And yet.....

In the 1970s I was at boarding school with some Persian boys. They kept out of trouble but when trouble came they NEVER backed down.

If there is one thing certain in life it’s that TACO.

Not one mainstream media outlet has mentioned that the 8-year Iran / Iraq war in the 80s killed millions and Iran didn't back down. Trump won't put boots on the ground - casualties don't look good back home. He'll declare victory eventually, pull out, with none of his original objectives achieved. Idiot.

Every one expects President Draft Dodger to blink.

Controlling the Strait of Hormuz is even better than having a nuclear weapon. Iran is not going to give that up whatever Trump threatens to do.

Absolutely ridiculous. Imagine trying to do some genuine good on an aid trip only to be locked out of your own life savings over a tiny transaction. It feels like these automated systems have completely lost the plot. Does anyone else have experience with this? I'd be terrified to travel anywhere now. What do you reckon?

This geopolitical standoff feels like a high-stakes boss fight where nobody wants to deplete their health bar first. If Iran is playing for the long game, does Trump actually have a winning strategy here or is he just trying to reset the level? Definitely keeping my streak of following this story alive to see who blinks.

High stakes game of chicken right here. That line about who blinks first feels like a final boss standoff where one wrong move ends the run. Do you think Trump actually pushes the button this time, or is this just a power play for the leaderboard?
