Looking ahead, print to infinity or a rugpull (temporary) asset price reset or something else?
Oversimplified - Interest rates that increase borrowing costs must be passed on, from the business to the customer, or from a customer upstream to the wage payer.
with rising Treasury interest rates states and citizens can purchase U.S. government Treasury bonds at lower prices and earn more interest while providing more and stronger dollar currency for affordable prices
We might collectively have some hyperinflation like back during the Weimar Republic if this administration continues to be ignorant, whether purposely or not, of the consequences of their actions.
There's enough historical context that warns us about all of these factors that are going on that are adding to short term inflation throughout the entire corporate finance machine, not just CPI and PPI accounting ofc,
And the worst part is, the prices will never be as low as they were since even after Covid at this point. We way are past the point of no return, and continue to circustantually accelerate into even worse economic conditions for 90% of the U.S. Population.
Can we believe the inflation rate, CPI, and PCE considering that these figures are produced by the Department of Labour and Department of commerce which does what Trump tells them to do.
Mark, you are preaching the story I've been preaching for months now. Interest rates can't be raised - the result - a country that can't pay its interest without hyper-inflation, and a stock market that will crumble. The Fed is in a box....it should be fun to watch.
I’m one of those you said are doing well in this environment but it’s meaningless when everyone is in deep shite. Increasing spending and flat revenue line is not a recipe for future success, BTW, this govt is not spending as in “investing “, is plainly WASTING!

Ballooning deficits, a debt picture we used to make fun of Greece for is hitting close to home. Debt rating downgraded. Giant corporations chasing a pipe dream with growing borrowing costs and profitability in the distant future. War spreading, talk of U.S. special forces going in and more countries getting involved. Tariff inflation on imports and the automotive industry collapsing. Stock market untethered from reality and so many bubbles as far as the eye can see.
The more they borrow the more interest they pay the more fiat currency they create the more inflation inbound ! As the money supply grows the more inflation we all get !!!
