Alright. We’ve done Earth’s History. We just got Human History as a whole. We need to complete the trilogy. All of modern human history in an hour, beginning with of course, year 0 of the Human Era Calandar, sponsored by Kurzgesagt!
That spaceship launching at the end 😭😭😭 Reminds me of the quote: "After a brief sedentary hiatus, we are resuming our ancient nomadic way of life. Our remote descendants, safely arrayed on many worlds throughout the Solar System and beyond, will be unified by their common heritage, by their regard for their home planet, and by the knowledge that, whatever other life may be, the only humans in all the Universe come from Earth. They will gaze up and strain to find the blue dot in their skies. They will love it no less for its obscurity and fragility. They will marvel at how vulnerable the repository of all our potential once was, how perilous our infancy, how humble our beginnings, how many rivers we had to cross before we found our way."
It's actually kind of freaky to think about how the vast majority of human history happened before we even developed civilization. Countless generations of humans who lived and died in a world so foreign to us now.
It's crazy how there's basically nothing going on for an hour and then they start building these crazy structures in the last few seconds. It's so gratifying to live in this exact exponential moment of humanity. We might be the people who will experience the biggest advancements in human history (at least for the first stage of that)
I love these "History in an Hour" videos. Please please please put the ads at the beginning or the end and NOT in the middle because it messes with the immersion and flow which is the whole reason these videos are so fun and fascinating.
And just like that, without a warning, absolutely free, we've got another 1 hour long masterpiece. Kurzgesagt team is something special, we must preserve them at all cost!
