Ever since a traumatic event happened for me if I'm not keeping busy with countless projects or hobbies, all my brain produces is TV static and loud crowds of people talking incoherently it's quite tiring. I must always keep busy and it's harder to fall asleep.

Stories really don't get enough credit. They're not just entertainment, they're not even just art - stories add incalculable depth and understanding to the experience of being human. How they change us makes them all true, whether they're fictional or not.
