So China is as per usual in DW's eyes ...the bad guy. Wouldn't it be useful if DW also posts some GOOD news about what Germany and the EU did for Serbia and Hungary?
First, incorrect map of Serbia, second, a repeat of the same old and tired anti-China fearmongering, third, the station building with the canopy was renovated by local Serbian subcontractors, not by the Chinese contractors who only did the high-speed railway itself. The high-speed railway is not a failure, it's fully operational in Serbia, where it will be expanded all the way to Serbia's border with North Macedonia, and from there it will eventually be expanded all the way to Greece and the port of Piraeus. As for the Hungarian section, it's almost finished, it's only waiting for the slow EU bureaucracy to give the final green light. And rest assured that it will be given the green light because it's already far too gone for anyone to be able stop it...

There is an old Chinese saying: To develop a place or a country, you need to build roads to have access to the people. This railway track is doing exactly the same. If this commentator thinks otherwise, & cut this link off , then good luck to her & her people.
I doubt the new PM in Budapest cares that much what Brussels thinks. Foremost he'll keep in mind Hungarian interests and try to balance between the major players without choosing the wrong side too aggressively like Orban. His first interest is to draw investment wherever possible not push it away.
