You know they are up to something when they purposely confused ROC with Taiwan.

I know the German media could never tell the audience the real history objectively, but it's so hilarious that they say the biggest dictator Chiang Kai-shek, who undoubtedly identified himself as a Chinese and fought against the separatism in Taiwan, paved the way for Taiwanese democracy
@
"Chiang kai shek, paving a way for modern day Taiwanese democracy". Omg This can not be serious and in such a big media outlet.

Getting freebies from Taiwan before switching recognition to China at the opportune time.

If Germany and America love Taiwan so much they should recognize them

We refer to the Republic of China (ROC) as Taiwan throughout this video. The government in Taiwan is called the ROC and officially still claims the entirety of China, just as the People’s Republic of China (PRC) does from Beijing. Many viewers have correctly pointed out that what we call the Taiwan flag is the flag of the ROC. We’re sorry for any irritation this has caused. An eagle-eyed viewer also spotted an error where we misspelled Palau – we’re sorry to have made the mistake but delighted you’re watching so keenly.

Is there any picture of Xi having any expression on his face other this “😐”???

157 out of 193 countries in the world recognize the state of Palestine.

Germany does not.
@
It reminds me, back in December, 2017, UN resolution that condemned the United States' decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and move its embassy. Only 7 countries stood with the US and Israel position:
Guatemala, Honduras, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Palau and Togo.
@
The 12 countries didn’t recognize Taiwan, but recognize Republic of China as the legitimate government of China.

DW is misleading and spreading misinformation.

Those countries never heard about it 😂😂😂

The idea that Chiang Kai Shek fought for democracy and freedom is “interesting”. Just as interesting is that while the ROC govt is now trying to erase any symbols related to him in Taiwan due to his authoritarian rule, in China itself his image is undergoing rehabilitation and is seen in a more positive light. Suggest people have a read about him rather than just depend on the headlines

I was expecting Lithuania mentioned in the report...

Not a single country on Earth recognize Taiwan as a country, they have formal diplomatic relations with the Republic of China.

How about Germany? Don't forget: When one finger points at others, three fingers point back at yourself.

Friendly reminder: That is not the flag of Taiwan, but the flag of the Republic of China(ROC).
