This has the same problem ALL self driving car companies face and why the technology isn't ubiquitous and mainstream yet and is likely never to be. It's a liability problem, one accident can ruin a company nevermind any type of wave of accidents. The reality is that this technology has to essentially be perfect and never allow an accident to occur or the company that does have accidents will face liability for the deaths/injuries in those vehicles and thus are open to many major legal battles.
What we need are the sentient Smart Fortwo's from Hot Tub Time Machine 2.. And sadly Mercedes-Geely nearly rolled out its own electric automated car too but cancelled it just before production. Thickheaded move if you ask me. Especially now that Benz is both flailing and failing fast!
What if there was a machine that could transport 200 people or more, have no other traffic than the other machine, and could drive itself on a track that called a train
