I must say they are both very well Media trained. Kit being able to come up with an answer as to why a two hour film was better than a season was pretty clever. Let’s be honest we all would have preferred an eight episode finale.

6:44 such a great way to put it! 👏

I am very sad about this movie. Real life sucks I hope Kit and Joe stay friends and work together again ?

Seems like they avoid answering questions about heated rivalry

I am so grateful for Hearstopper, it's been lovely how they have portrayed and given voice to the community in such respectful and beautiful way, the series and the film are sublime and so it's the cast and everyone behind it from Alice, to Patrick, to the crew, etc. A big thank you for giving the world so much pure love and beauty not just the loving relationships but also their lovely friendships. Kisses to you all from a gay Spanish fan in love with my now husband after 20 years, we're an example that teenage and monogamist love exists in the gay community, that's not the point, love is just love however any couple feels it, but just to say for those that believe Hearstopper is too positive or unreal, well, it's real, it's beautiful and we're not the only ones. Hearstopper will be forever in our hearts! Thank you! ❤

Someone posted a video on Tik Tok and said that Kit was desperate to get off Heartstopper and Nick Nelson’s character. Those people didn’t know or didn’t want to know how important this project is for Kit and Joe as well. Even they shared private and public moments as friends and fellow actors, they supported each other in their musical or play projects. They are friends with Elton John and many famous people. Kit is not escaping Heartstopper, it’s part of his life forever

LG should never be banded together with BTQ. What a nonsense. 2026 is shameless to the core. God help the young children of today 😢

This movie was such a beautiful ending to one of the best queer love stories. I’m sad that it’s over but I’m happy that it became part of my life. 🥹🍂🌈🍂

Yay! Such a nice little interview ❤ thank you bbc!

Also though, its truly irritating seeing bbc put a spin on anything that mentions trans people as inherently "political". It really irks me. Trans people are just ordinary. We are all friends. A show that talks about lgbtq lives inherently is going to be talking about experiences in the lgbtq community, including from trans people talking genuinely with their friends, the storyline was perfect, ordinary, commonplace, and genuine and thats beautiful, its why people watch it, its legendary, and its good. Its almost like bbc missed season 3 where it directly shows a radio reporter trying to turn elles life into a "theme". So rude! Bbc clearly has a transphobic bias, and its not appropriate to project that onto real humans or try and dig joe and kit to talk about it. People exist, get over it!

Other than this, excellent interview, its so nice to hear how respectful and decent these guys are of the show and their fandom.. and beautiful to get little insights into what its been like filming it. Thank you bbc for convering this ❤

Heartstopper forever ❤

There is no agenda, people just can't handle self reflection.
Everyone needs to respect each others beliefs.

We need more LGBT+ stories and characters in movies, séries, tv, anime, games, reality shows and social media 🏳️🌈❤️

This story means so much to me and so many others. I’m so grateful it’s come to end in such a beautiful way. Very bittersweet 💗🍂

Kit and Joe have such amazing chemistry! I love how they talk about queer joy—it's so refreshing. Now I'm wondering if there are any hidden easter eggs in the new season that we missed? I bet I can spot them all before anyone else does!

It’s so refreshing to see them focus on the joy part of the story rather than just the struggle. I wonder how they balance keeping the characters true to the books while adding their own spin for the show? Definitely makes me want to rewatch everything now!

Good morning, everyone. There is something so grounding about seeing Kit and Joe talk about the importance of queer joy; it feels like a breath of fresh air. I'm sipping my tea and feeling quite hopeful. What part of their journey has resonated with you the most?
