Yes, I HAVE read her comments, and there are numerous inconsistencies, and hedging equivocations, that don't hold up to scrutiny. So, what I personally see here, is a woman who had consensual sex with Planter, had buyers remorse the next morning (particularly, apparently, over it being unprotected sex), and contacted Graham the next morning to read him the riot act about it. This did not go well. They broke up. But, sorry, I'm not buying the whole "sexual assault" thing. Do I think she had sex with Planter and later regretted it? Sure quite possibly. But rape? No way. No police report. No email exchanges with Platner that might have backed up her story (which all seem to have mysteriously vanished). All she does have are a couple of self-serving emails to friends and her therapist that were all sent (surprise-surprise) around the height of the "Me-Too!!! Movement" coming out craze.
Now, years later, at a time when Platner has clearly gotten his life back on track (with a beautiful supportive wife), her vindictiveness apparently knows no bounds. So, with non-stop goading and support from a couple of coincidentally highly pro-israel (and therefore anti-Plantner) POLITICO reporters,
The evidence is that she texted friends that she had an uncomfortable sexual experience with Platner.
I have had plenty of uncomfortable sexual experiences with women and never accused them of SA.
This woman needs to file charges against him for me to take her seriously.
I am sure she is enjoying the payday from established Dem and GOP operatives that wanted Platner "dealt with" expediently. AIPAC?????

No it is not! We in Maine want him. We definitely don't want Susan anymore. You are not from Maine. That accuser had a very long chance to come foward. Did she...no. She was dating the man back in the day. If it was anything but consensual she should have spoken about it when he first ran.
Finally! Being myself a progressive in Europe, I have been calling out that Platner has too many red flags for quite a few months now. And against "popular" logic, this is the exact moment these allegations should have surfaced, while there is still time to pick up another candidate. Had this be done one week later, it would have guaranteed Susan Collins a win!
No surprise. This is the only place where x-girlfriends' allegations for a buck stain politicians. Nothing stains those corrupt ones with accounts in the Cayman isles made from lobbyists.
