A few years ago, I would shrug off cold fries or a wrong order, telling myself, "It's just fast food." Not anymore. Now I double-check the order while still in line, and if the fries aren’t hot, I make a big fuss about it. The food is now expensive and for that money I demand better service.
I'll always remember 2019, when one of my college professors was noticeably angry finding out that the campus Chick-Fil-A's milkshakes were $4.
Just a few years later, that would be considered the best milkshake deal in town.
I can vouch for In-N-Outs motto: quality you can taste. I used to haul potatoes and veggies to their distrbution centers. They rejected an entire 53 foot refrigerated trailer of potatoes due to 5 bags of potatoes being picked to early, so basically they refused to accept 40,000 pounds of potatoes cause of 5 bad bags, thankfully found a food bank that accepted the load of potatoes.
nothing mcdonalds says will ever convince me $18 meals is not price gouging. i love how they try to blame the employees needing paychecks that keep up with inflation as if the employees are the problem while the executives make 7 figure paychecks.
I want to thank all the fast-food chains for raising the prices since covid.
