I am from Spain and before Brexit I used to buy A LOT of goods from UK brands for my company (audio industry) now I try to avoid UK brands as custom and taxes tend to be crazy expensive and a pain in the ass. Now I go to Italian an German brands.
The main guy behind Brexit, Farage, is at again with Reform UK. Again all he does is blame EVERYTHING on immigration, and people buy that crazy shit. It is insane. Oh well, the upside for EU is that no one else want to leave after the Brexit fiasco.
This whole situation is just that politics today has become much about anger, injustice and people protesting at the world they often don't understand, and choosing the most loud leader instead of a rational quiet thinker, who may systematically solve the issues in due time. (provided the benefits would be seen in someone else's term)
Tales as old as time: Rich people blaming foreigners so poor people don't realize the rich are stealing from them. An aging population yearning for the way things were when they were young. Reaching for get-rich-quick schemes instead of doing hard, boring work. Politics putting flashy showmen above the humble and wise. Powerful men demanding austerity for others and handouts for themselves. The UK is the perfect storm of societal failure.
I remember there was also talk about having a Brexit here in Denmark But after seeing how it went with Britain they became real quiet and has not been a subject since
So basically, the UK has gone through their rebellious teen phase and now wants to move back in with their parents because they can't afford it anymore.
