The term Sassanid Empire is incorrect; the correct term is Eransahr, meaning the Empire of the İranians. Although the Sassanids were a dynasty of Persian origin, the empire was not solely a Persian state; it was a shared state of all Iranian peoples, and the Persians were the cultural heart of this empire. The Sassanid rulers called themselves not the Shah of Persians, but the rulers of the Iranians (Shahanshah of İranians).

Should have mentioned the battle at Lycus where Heraclius or his brother Theodore destroyed the other Sassanian army under Shahin while Shahrbaraz' force besieged Constantinople. Possibly the most important Byzantine victory of the entire war.
The distance from the Persian heartland was too far and they couldn't bring siege equipment. And they had no reliable means to transport it across the protected waters. Nor could they coordinate effectively with their allies. Only the Avars and Slavs were positioned for a proper siege from the western direction but they lacked resources, technology, and knowledge/skill in siegecraft, especially in comparison to the Sassanids. The walls and defences of Constantinople were also extremely strong. Though the Persians were literally across from Constantinople raiding and sacking the area of chalcedon at will on the other side of the bosporus. This was their furthest conquests since the days of the Achaemenids.
Small critique: your 3-D rendering of the Theodosian walls contains Yedikule Hisarı. This was not built until 1453 CE by the Ottomans. The area should only have Khryseia Pyle, the "golden gates" which were built 388-391 CE, and upgraded 425 CE.
Constantinople surviving multiple sieges throughout the centuries is nothing short of amazing. It is truly a unique city with a grand history behind it.
