Its a fing game not a politcal platform time they grew up and stopped being children😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠

America was the only country to support us, our other NATO partners sided with the argies. We should withdraw from Nato and sign a pact with the Americans
@
Some people, not me of course might suggest that the Argies should appreciate Britain , instead of complaining, they were living under a military Fascist regime , losing the Falklands war removed Gen Galtieri from power
@
It's called colonialism in any age and it's evil . It exploits resources you pirates need. Argentina should take back the Islands and they can do that now easily.
@
por las buenas o por las malas, las Malvinas volveran a ser territorio Argentino

"Argentineans Will Give Everything On The Pitch For The Falklands" Just saw the political expert Gary Lineker being interviewed on Sky News, He denied that the Falklands played any part in Argentine players thinking back in 1986. And he knows that it will play no part in the thinking of the modern Argentine players. Gary picked up a few words of Spanish playing for Barcelona, so there is little doubt he is a Latin American specialist in the world of politics.

Why does Argentina want another humiliating defeat?

Wilson has become such an irritating man, a sort of snobby contrarian. Gives the impression of being disappointed man who knows thta he has failed to live up to his ablities.
@
I remember the Englands manager words after the game in 66, ANIMALS.
@
Why turn a football match into this nonsense. Enjoy the match, cheer for your side, have a beer and lighten up.
@
The defensive posture Britain has is just idiotic.
Under any logic and reason the islands do not belong to Argentina.
They're not close to it's territorial waters, not even it's EEZ zone, it's an idiotic claim.
@
Stop hyping up this non story about the falklands. The players aren't interested.

The Falklands are British and will remain British, regardless of football.
@
Could Wilson sound more arrogant and out of touch? He seems as dismissive of the wishes of the inhabitants as a politician from Argentina. It’s this sort of thinking where you view people as insignificant that results in terrible and harmful policy.

The Falkland were only partly in Argentine hands for 12 (twelve) years 1820-32.
The first recorded visit by English Capt John Strong was in 1690. Over the next century
Britain ,France, Spain claimed the islands. In 1833 the British re-established control
of the Islands and in 1840 the Falklands became a crown colony till today so well
over 200 years.

They are aware that we keep the Falklands even if they win, right?

At 20:10 on Saturday the 18th of July Argentina play England in Argentina at Rugby at 22:00 the same day England play Argentina in Georgia USA. It looks like the media is trying to stir up trouble again. Argentina have played England for virtually every year since the Falklands War in both countries and others.

This historian is incorrect: the USA DID assist the UK during the Falklands War. That assistance came in the form of providing intelligence, aviation fuel, and Sidewinder missiles. All of these things played their part in helping Britain win the conflict.
