£3 trillion in debt and the first thing they do is start talking about more spending....our political class are clueless. They won't do the obvious things that need doing, instead they just compound the existing problems....
@
We need an emergency budget NOW!!

Maybe it's obvious why Manchester has the highest debt of any combined authority
@
Jones and reed are perfect example of everything that is wrong with politicians and politics today. what a pair of slimy characters
@
So Starmer's digital ID was not wanted and completely unfunded. Good riddance
@
Call me naive, but shouldn't whoever can best do the job get that cabinet role, rather than handing them out like rewards?

Also, shouldn't those who, have shown dubious integrity, by cheating on their taxes for example, be excluded?

Let's talk about the huge cost of unfunded gold plated MP pensions and how they tend to get preferential tax treatment
@
Take the money out of the over bloated welfare and reinstate the two-child benefit cap!
@
And what little this does for us, isn’t going to make any difference.
@
The irony that the Reeves previous statements of “fully funded” was obviously a lie from day one, 22 billion black hole a lie,
Why would you expect anyone from Labour to tell the truth.

They created the term spin doctor.

Only at day two and already nothing adds up.

Maybe that will be their excuse to not have a General election, as they can’t afford it.

This country, can’t afford this government
@
If people think the price of loyalty is to high then don't expect loyalty from anyone.

Has Darren Jones apologised for sympathising with Peter Mandelson over his firing and lying to the British public about his relationship with Mandelson?

No?

Then shut the hell up.
@
Strange people on this podcast.
@
‘Something came along’
Would that ‘something’ be Mrs Thatcher?
@
Liebore governments always split down the middle between hard left and centre.... It has always been so.
@
The digital ID has not been scrapped or not entirely.
@
So Jones was tasked with leading and promoting the government’s digital ID scheme but now says it’s unfunded? Strange he waited till sacked to say that.
@
It’s enlightening to finally have revealed an Andy Burnham’s ‘government of no talent’. But if you’ve hit a conviction for fraud, or failed to pay your taxes- you’re in.
@
So glad Darren Jones got sacked smarmy MP that he is saying that what about Defence and illegal migration
@
Welcome Andy to the real world 😉😆

Welcome everyone! It's wild that the internal friction between Burnham and the loyalists is already stealing the spotlight on day one. That "difficult messaging" part really hits home. Do you think this early tension will hinder their fiscal plans, or is this just typical growing pains?
