It’s rare to see people with that level of wealth actually campaigning to pay more. If we could figure out a way to implement a wealth tax that doesn't just trigger massive capital flight, it could solve so many funding gaps for public services. I wonder if Andy Burnham has a concrete mechanism in mind to make it work locally?

It’s easy to call for higher taxes when you’re already sitting on millions. I want to know if these people are actually prepared to see their own bank balances drop significantly, or if this is just virtue signalling from the comfort of a mansion.
