I did wonder if Ann had seen the red car come onto her drive. However, if she was giving this interview whilst he was pulling into her drive, she may have been completely unaware.
I remember in the UK when you had free speech..if you didn't agree with someone you just realised that other people didnt always have the same opinion as you and accepted that.you didn't murder someone or troll them or stalk them just because you didn't like their hurty words. Where has adulting behaviour and tolerance gone. I truly believe that our country has suffered and will continue to suffer while there is no proper discipline and proper guidance given to children. Empowerment is bringing us to this
How long was this before her death? last Wednesday 12 midday was this interview her LAST.
Listen to what she is saying when she talks about Farage? "lets bring an END to it, lets bring this to a head"
OMG! that is very worrying indeed, anyone else notice it?
It's terribly sad to see Ann Widdecombe go out like this in a mass of deflection and contradiction, indirectly comparing a £5m donation with an an appearance on Basil Brush. Then defending Boris' stance that 'no rules were broken' in No 10. Then she says the register was for people to declare anything that might impact the way you vote, a tacit admission Farage is in the wrong.
They seem such strange comments when Farage could have declared it after he was elected and avoided all this.
I am very sad she has died in such an awful way, but very large donations to any politician is really worrying if they are not declared.
I didn't like her, I disagree with everything she said but the fact that someone battered an elderly woman to death is absolutely disgusting and the fact that this interview was within hours of her death is truly frightening.
How convenient that this very odd thing has happened JUST when Farage desperately needs a distraction from the public scrutiny of his history of illegal funding.
How convenient for Mr Farage that suddenly the News is no longer about Reform's funding from dodgy overseas billionaires but is suddenly about 'The safety of Reform MP's.
Was there this much fuss about the time when a 'Britain FIrst' terrorist stabbed and shot Jo Cox in the street just before the Referendum?
No... Farage insisted that the Referendum go ahead... no need to pause to inquire into the murder or have a bit of a pause for respect for Jo's family and constituents.
A desperately needed distraction from the too-long evaded inquiry into Reform's crimes not political?
What happened to Ann has made me feel sick. It’s absolutely disgusting. The man who killed her clearly thought her political views were worse than the act of murdering her. She was 78 ffs, and she was attacked in her own home. No one should be harmed in their own home, no one!
The fact that she was murdered just minutes later makes for chilling viewing.
I didn't have time for Anne Widdecombe's politics but I can take time to remember a fellow human being passing through this life.
Perhaps the best tribute to Ann Widdecombe was shown after her funeral service at Buckfast Abbey where the priest in charge was interviewed and spoke warmly of her (she converted to Roman Catholicism years ago) saying that he disagreed with her views on practically everything but held her in high esteem . This is something that has become less common - being able to disagree with someone fundamentally without impugning their right to hold views and believe in things contrary to one's own beliefs , and see past that to the good in that person.
Ann makes good points about minor earnings or gifts.
However when the gift is £5million, it’s obvious that it could influence someone & so should be declared.
I wonder if Ms Widdecombe knew about other gifts that may have been dubious, and honest woman that she was, was preparing to make the information public.
This video is quite upsetting. Ann here is superb, on-form as ever, making excellent points convincingly and in a compelling way. To think she was killed mere mintutes after this is too hard to bear.
Anne's death is such a loss to us all. And a sad indictment of how low someone can go. I hope and pray this is a turning point and we can move away from this endless bullying of anyone we disagree with.
Now we are going to hear about Ann Widdecombe on the TV News and Newspapers for the next 12 months every hour of the day, but nothing about the almost 600 other murders in the UK every year. Now we are hearing that MPs and Previous need to get better protection, well they are not talking about better protection for the general public when 600 of them are murdered every year, well the public are sick and tired of MPs because they do nothing for anybody, they say they cannot talk about INDIVIDUAL CASES, But they are talking plenty about Widdecombe. They get an excessive salary, expenses and a fantastic private pension when they are thrown out of their constituency in an election, That is why the public have so much hatred for them, so they think they can become an MP do nothing for anyone and still get a fantastic salary expenses and a luxury pension on our taxpayers money and do nothing to help anyone, That is the problem they have created. now they are complaining about the problem they made because of their total contempt for the people that voted for them. A problem of their own making.
Who ever did this, what a terrible thing, beaten to death for nothing. AW given her stance and approach on so much would only add to the polarity of views and highly doubtful ever moved those of a different view point from theirs to hers.
The actual extremes of both left and right are barely discernible, to such an extent that they are the opposite pole of centralists. Speculation on the leanings of this murderer become pointless. Actual left or right leaning would not countenance murder, if you do you're clearly off the reservation.
So Ann Widdecome thinks that Basil Brush also has the same potential to bribe politicians with a £5 million gift, the same as a Crypto billionaire who lives in Thailand and pays no UK Tax
Putting it to the people, is not standing in Clacton, a place which has already said they happy with him??? If Clacton vote Farage it isnt changing the view of the rest of the country!!! Clacton isnt effin parliament.
The establishment have been after Farage going back to his UKIP days if he was a serious lawbreaker they would have got him before now. We heard it all before back in 2019 it was Farage & Arron Banks there was an investigation & they found nothing, then it was Tices tax again investigated it came to nothing, then James McMurdocks finances he stood down from Reform yet after an investigation McMurdock was cleared of doing anything wrong, now its back to Farage & in the end again it will come to nothing.
