About spending money to ppl that do not work.... Economie is about the amount off money there is to be spent into the industrie. Money spent on ppl that do not work will ALL go into the industrie. While money spent on rich ppl will all go in shares in that industry, syphoning it dry. Economy is about the amount off money avialable to spend vs the amount off products off the industry to be bought, in the same market.
The biggest problem is the birth rate in the least productive parts of the world. It only adds to the people who need taken care of, and reduces the number of people who produce
Although I disagree with most of Mr. Keen's opinions I cannot state enough that the level of dialogue and discussion between him and Konstantin was superb. I hope that people with different opinions can sit around a table and discuss on good faith and by presenting their arguments. Without ad-hominem attacks, without interruptions and with respect. Well done.
I'm an economist too from Australia and Steve Keen is the king of catastrophe and has been for many years, whether it's climate change or the Australian housing market. One thing that always astounds me is that he never has a solution, only highlights a problem that was identified 50 years ago. That's about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.
