As a survivor of santika blaze 2009 where I lost a friend..and as person who has frequented Bangkok entertainment venues since santika..I have learned to check every fire safety measures at these venues..I can confirmed most if not all lack sprinklers extinguishers and fire alarms!..clubs are filled to the brim and some still uses sparklers!! which was the caused of santika!…i am disgusted and alarmed at influencers who promote these rooftops bars in bkk without observing its dangers which I have!…some my think im paranoid but if u knew what i saw and see my burnt scar from santika…YOU WILL TAKE HEED!…stay safe🙏

This is terrible and reminds me of the Station Nightclub Fire in 2003. It looks like this may have been a rollover fire. Combustible gasses ignited with unburnt fuel such as flammable decorations or decor. That would be consistent with reports of heavy smoke then that terrible blowtorch of fire we saw in the video. I read many of the deceased were found in the bathrooms presumably trying to shelter from the fire.
Good LORD! That looks like an actual massive flame-thrower, coming out from the inside. What was it that CAUSED such a powerful, directed flame? It's a wonder anyone got through that alive... I used to go out dancing to clubs all the time - this could have been any one of us, who ever went out dancing - anywhere.
Sincere condolences to the families of those "lost", those injured, those who owned & worked in the club (IF they - both groups - were totally innocent), the unlucky tourists, etc. How horrific.

That looked like some kind of gas leak, not a normal fire.
