8:30 "a very bad day for me" another way to describe 'catastrophic failure'

You have filled the gap that the Discovery channel left when they stopped making awesome long for content like this. Thank you!

Also, that Canadarm is one seriously cool piece of tech, wow!

OH. MY. GOD. I swear spacewalks are the scariest thing I can imagine. A 7-hour mission - OUTSIDE THE ISS?! That is pure "nightmare fuel".

8:48 I knew I wasn't crazy when saying you always need duct tape with you at any given time

They dont just have a list of materials on board...they have 1:1 inventory of the materials on board! They can literally use exactly what they have up there to come up with something. Thats what the Apollo 13 scene, "we need to make that fit in there with all this" is about. 'Here is our goal, here is what they have, make it work' It allows effectively crowdsourcing the problem across all the engineers on the ground. Pretty freaking slick!

What in the world?! This stuff is insane! It's some mix between the smartest people ever, and just some "shade-tree mechanic" shenanigans that Dale down the road, who barely got his high school diploma, but is an idiot-savant when it comes to cars comes up with. AMAZING!

Congrats on 5 million subscribers 🎉

Love to see the BEAM mention. I used to read about it years before it flew instead of doing my work in IT lessons. It's now outlasted the company that built it
@
can you imagine yourself tied to an extension about to get a ride to do a repair than just turning around and seeing the dark of space..

21:50 I'll take this as a nod to Destin, who made an entire video geeking out about exactly this

Engineering at it's finest. A special time in history that allowed such international cooperation. May we have more.

This is technically the second part of a longer ISS documentary. So if you wanna catch part 1 visit the page!

12:15 I don't know how the space shuttle could had generated enough delta-v to take his massive pair of balls up there.

Former ISS Life Support Flight Controller here

I'm very biased, but I'd love you to cover more of the internal aspects of the station. Not sure what all is available to you in your research, but there's plenty of interesting stuff to talk about for sure.
