One thing that really blew my mind was the idea that dreams aren't just random, they're the brain making connections we wouldn't normally see while awake. It makes you wonder how many great discoveries or ideas first appeared in someone's dream. Conversations like this are exactly why I love science.
I absolutely love my dreams. They’re usually full of action, adventure, sometimes horror but in a good way. They feel like I’m in a movie or a video game. Also, I often dream about eating delicious food. lol
Ooo my first query question answered. Kenny here. And yes, Chuck, my prefontal cortex is finished as I'm 40-years-old. As always, this episode is so insightful and informative and will cause me to go on another research spiral.
I am 40yo and have sleep paralysis episodes. Took me decades to realize this is what I have been suffering from, only decided to look into it last year. I grew up thinking that a dark spirit was bothering me while ive been unable to move. I've been relieved to know it's sleep paralysis, and oddly- since learning of it, I've had less episodes.
My dreams are so vivid and so detailed. Sometimes I wake up and go back to sleep just to get back into the same dream and see where it goes. And I do get back to the same dream when I do that
you can tell matt walker loves his work every complex question he had the perfect answer for! 100% need to get him back on the show as a guest again
