Matt was a fantastic expert, the way he took time to give an actual answer to each question instead of just blurting what he knew..

One thing that really blew my mind was the idea that dreams aren't just random, they're the brain making connections we wouldn't normally see while awake. It makes you wonder how many great discoveries or ideas first appeared in someone's dream. Conversations like this are exactly why I love science.

Wow, Professor walker is incredibly smart , everything he explains about sleep paralysis is exactly as I’ve experienced throughout life
@
Laying down listening to ppl talking about sleep wanting to sleep is making me sleepy 😴

Matt handles the chaos of StarTalk better than any guest I've seen in last 3 years.

I had sleep paralysis once many years ago. I did not feel like there were any aliens in the room, but it was a frightening experience, nonetheless.

Why we sleep by Mathew walker is my Favourite Book

Better name for his podcast. The Sleep Walker Podcast.

I absolutely love my dreams. They’re usually full of action, adventure, sometimes horror but in a good way. They feel like I’m in a movie or a video game. Also, I often dream about eating delicious food. lol

First time hearing of Matt Walker, awesome guest, very well spoken and would love for him to return again!

He looks like a cross between Tim Allen from 30 years ago and his TV kid Jonathan Taylor.

Ooo my first query question answered. Kenny here. And yes, Chuck, my prefontal cortex is finished as I'm 40-years-old. As always, this episode is so insightful and informative and will cause me to go on another research spiral.

I am 40yo and have sleep paralysis episodes. Took me decades to realize this is what I have been suffering from, only decided to look into it last year. I grew up thinking that a dark spirit was bothering me while ive been unable to move. I've been relieved to know it's sleep paralysis, and oddly- since learning of it, I've had less episodes.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is literally the bridge 🌁 that allows us to understand science since I was never interested in science until he came around

My dreams are so vivid and so detailed. Sometimes I wake up and go back to sleep just to get back into the same dream and see where it goes. And I do get back to the same dream when I do that

you can tell matt walker loves his work every complex question he had the perfect answer for! 100% need to get him back on the show as a guest again
