I am so sorry for his loss. I can relate so much to this right now. It is the hardest thing I have had to do: watching my mom so sick that it is clear there is no turning point. For months, I did not know how to deal with it; everything around me crumbled. Constantly crying when seeing her in this condition, hoping we had more time.
But then it hit me a few weeks ago: I will do everything she couldn´t do. I will live the life she never had in addition to the life I always wanted. I will follow the encouragement and teachings she gifted me. I will honor her legacy through my life and work.
One of the coolest moments in this already excellent conversation is when Alex introduces Steven to the Van Westendorp Analysis. Hearing Alex say that he uses the tool regularly, while Steven acknowledges that it is new to him, creates such an authentic moment of learning. There is something powerful about watching two experts exchange ideas and learn from one another in real time. Steven has interviewed hundreds of accomplished people and has gained tremendous knowledge through his own experience, yet he remains genuinely curious and open to learning. That humility and commitment to continued growth is really nice to see. Alex’s points reach beyond business; they speak to life in general, so much to learn here. Thank you both for sharing your knowledge with us. This was a wonderful conversation!
My father got sick and died and my son had a mental health crisis the same month I was presented with an amazing opportunity to acquire my own business. I had to stay strong and be there for my family and myself it was tough. I suppose I became stoic more than anything to get through. My son is doing great now, business is good, yet my peers are expecting me to break down, to hit a wall, to literally explode with repressed grief and stress, but I don't feel the need to. I'm solid. My father would have wanted me to stay strong, positive, and keep forward motion. I'm so excited for life.
I'd add one thing: technology lowers the cost of creating content, but it doesn't lower the cost of earning trust. That still has to be built over time.
If your working to never experience fear and uncertainty again you will fail. Life isn't about surviving it's about overcoming.
Instead of building a safe space that can never true be safe build the you that can overcome adversity.
For small & micro businesses, AI is about solving the contextual bottlenecks.

I doubt anyone will read this but watching these podcasts (especially Alex & Steven) gave me the courage to resign from my job and chase my dreams with owning my own business.

Hormozi is spot on about the AI gold rush. Everyone is pivoting just because it's trendy, but ignoring fundamentals for a buzzword is a recipe for bankruptcy. Better to dominate a boring niche than be the 1,000th mediocre AI wrapper.
