D)The Election Commission of India (ECI) is the sole authority empowered to adjudicate and decide dispute between rival group or splinter factions of a recognized national or state political party calming its official name & symbol. These intra- party dispute are explicitly governed and resolved Under paragraph 15 of the election symbols (Reservation & allotment )Order, 1968.and The validity of this provision was up held by the Supreme Court of India in the landmark sadiq Ali Case 1971.
According to the provisions of paragraph 15 the final decision rendered by election commission is legally binding on all rival factions or Sections involved in the dispute.
