South China Sea islands never belong to Philippine in history. The Philippines was a Spanish and then US
colony. Its territories are defined by Paris Treaty, 1988; Washington Treaty, 1900; and Treaty Delimiting
the Boundaries between British North Borneo and the American Philippines, 1930. The treaties set its
boundaries not including any islands in SCS as Philippines knew the islands belonged to China. But later
due to navigation improvement, they could reach far into SCS so wanted to annex the SCS islands and
denied their previous admittance that the SCS islands belonged to China.
The tribunal that made the arbitral award was not International Court of Justice in Hague(ICJ), but was fake one with a rented office in the same building of ICJ.
Moreover, it is basic knowledge that for arbitration, only when both parties involved agree to use arbitration to solve disputes, the arbitration result can take effect. For the fake SCS one, Philippine unilaterally hired the fake tribunal so its award did not bind any parties. That is why the world treated the award as a joke.
A question: If I like your house and hire my friend to rent an office in the same building of a court and then to make a decision saying I own your house, would you accept the decision?
It's like a football game arranged by Philippine, referees assigned by Philippine, with only Philippine players on the field, China didn't join the game, then finally Philippine claimed a 10:0 victory. Then everyone else demand China to accept the defeat... Is it a joke?
