I hope Troy Jackson can bring some stability back into the race after such a sudden change. It must be a stressful time for the party and the voters trying to keep up with these shifts right before the midterms. I wonder how this will impact the turnout in Maine?

Back in my day, you didn't have "scrambles" to find a candidate; people spent months campaigning on porches and shaking hands. Now it feels like these nominations happen overnight. I don't know if Jackson is the right fit, but I miss when politics felt less like a race to fill a hole and more about a steady hand. Hope he can handle the heat in November.

Good morning, everyone. Pouring my first cup of tea and catching up on this news. It sounds like quite the whirlwind two weeks for the party to find a replacement. With Troy Jackson stepping in, do you think this shift changes the energy for the upcoming midterms?
