The "stole land" card has always been a great card to distract their people from real problems.
Given how inept and corrupt the argentinian politicians have always been, it's no surprise they managed to turn a stretch of land in the middle of the ocean into a crucial matter for people who can't even get to the end of the week on their salary.
The answer to the question is;
Absolutely nothing, it's British, and will stay British for evermore.
It was discovered by the British long before Argentina was a country.
The people of the Falklands consider themselves British, and speak English.
Far too many British soldiers died, retaking the islands rightfully back into British sovereignty, for any UK government to give up the Falklands, it would be political suicide for any party to do so.
Any members of the Argentina team holding up that flag and are playing for British teams should have their contracts cancelled. They don't like the British but are happy to take the vast wages we are willing to pay them. Hit them where it hurts. FIFA won't do anything about it either.
Argentina didn't even exist as a country when the Falklands Islands were claimed by the UK nearly 200 years ago. So there is no legitimate claim. End of debate.
Those on the Falklands don’t want to be governed by a nation that has collapsed more times than the England team and has a history of fascism. They have made that very clear.
Any Argentinian player who was a part of this and plays for a British club should be banned from playing here again. They don't have a problem taking our money but are quite happy to disrespect us.
