I want some of the Dan Ives kool-aid 😋
@
Danny boy when do we start getting $ runs 9 th inning?
@
All them and companies like googlehave to do is make you click through an add to get your answer..that's comming ....and when they announce this it will obviously be billions......
@
Dan doesn't know anything.
"It's Anthropic and OpenAI's world everybody else is just living in it. ----->
Models will be commoditized."
Any other contradictions you want to throw in there Dan?

Also, no offense to cab drivers, but cab drivers owning bentleys is a sign that this is indeed a bubble. What are we even talking about anymore? Feels like I'm taking crazy pills lol

We were in the "third inning" two years ago as well. Things aren't moving toward profitability very fast.

What kind of question is "why can china do it cheaper?" They can do everything cheaper! Doesn't mean it has high quality. They don't have the data, the hardware (yet), they might have the LLM's but they have nothing else. One thing they are winning at though is Power (they built the ground) which USA did not. Started through the roof (which is normal since every major tech is US based). If China was ahead they wouldn't need taiwan nor trying to copy asml's EUV machines and failling. And even if they succeeded in successfully making a EUV machine it would take years for mass production

Dan Ives is the master of the pump. Don't be the sucker holding the bag.

What happens in the bottom of the 9th?

Data centers will experience a high rate of depreciation as chip technology exponentially improves forcing a short upgrade cycle to remain competitive.
@
"The application layer? The infrastructure layer?" Dan: "I think its the application infrastructure layer" 😂
@
He sounds like a Bill Murray character.

Love this guys suits!!!

I hear Eric Carle museum of picture book art in Amherst, Mass might be having some new exhibits possibly sponsored by ADP payroll company hope happens, what fun! Sherlock Holmes ( my favorite) trains, NBA basketball role of referees, Houston Astros & baseball ( yeah), Ebbets Field

Counter-point. Numerous state county governments are rejecting state sponsored proposed data centers over rising electric bills, tained fresh water and building code violations like placing data centers which produce a 24 hour loud high pitch whine next to elementary schools. Local voter revolts successfully fighting back against big tech.

Jesus Christ! He's wearing his stage 3 crazy jacket. We're doomed!

Every time I listen to Dan Ives I feel like I'm playing buzzword bingo. Never specific, never technical, just buzzword after buzzword. Take away the suit and the sports metaphors and I might as well be listening to my grandmother talk about the 'fourth industrial revolution'.

Dan Ives is the expert on talking without actually saying anything

I agree, bea_studies. It’s a bit nerve-wracking for investors, but as long as the tools keep providing real value to people, the long-term outlook feels solid.

I agree with Ives that we're still early, Theo. It feels more like a healthy correction than the end of the hype train given the actual utility these models are showing.

Tough break on those semi stocks—feels like hitting a brutal difficulty spike right before the boss fight. Ives is right about us still being in the early innings, though. Do you think we're just seeing a temporary dip, or is the hype train finally running out of tokens?
