Turkey is building a space base on the coast of Somalia. But parts of Somalia are controlled by jihadist group Al-Shabab. Turkey is supporting the Somali government in the fight against the militants, for example with airstrikes on Al-Shabab targets. But some analysts are warning the group could pose a risk for Turkey's space base project.

We will draw the Map of Germany without East Germany as long as you do not draw Somalia‘s world recognized borders. Any way DW is 5th class TV

While China and Turkey are building up the economy in Africa, Europe looks on enviously and wonders why colonial exploitation no longer works.
But supporting Israel's genocide, that’s never questioned.
There’s really nothing more to say about it.
@
Helga, you should make a video examining the idea that Israel controls Germany. It would be an interesting topic to explore.

Lots of false claims by this Israeli backed German channel. For instance Türkiye doesn't get 90% of oil revenue. Turkiye is providing a loan for the oil project and 90% of the first profits go towards paying it off. After it's paid off Turkiye and Somalia share the profits fairly. This means Turkiye holds all risk of the investment.

Turkey and Somalia share ties that actually trace back centuries to the 16th-century Ottoman Empire provided military and logistical support to the Ajuran and Adal Sultanates in Somalia to help them fight against Portuguese and Ethiopian expansionism,
Modern diplomatic relations were officially established between the nations. Turkey made global headlines when it was the first non-African country to reopen its embassy in Mogadishu and provide massive humanitarian aid during the 2011, However, today the two countries have reached a multi-billion-dollar investment agreement founded on the protection of sovereignty and dignity.

So Israel is supporting El Shabab terrorists and separatist, are we surprised? Same story in Syria and Iraq when they supported Isis who killed scores of europeans and americans but never attacked Israel

Guys its a lie, türkiye doesnt get 90% of the oil revenue, türkiye hold all risk of the investment, somalia doesnt pay a "penny" or any risk
If Türkiye finds anything than it has the right to use the first revenue up to 90% to pay the investment cost

Afterwards everyone gets their fair share of the deal

What BS from Israel. Turkey doesnt need ballistic missiles or Somalia area to hit Israel. They can hit anywhere in Israel from Antakya with current missiles.

Turkey is seen more favorable in Africa than unfavorably. Especially in Somalia. This is like the 3rd negative video about Turkey by DW and every time I hear Israel somewhere around the video...

Welcome everyone! It's fascinating how Turkey has used everything from new airline routes to infrastructure to build these ties across Africa. I hadn't realized how strategic their approach has been over the last two decades. Do you think this shift changes the traditional power dynamics in the region?
