"[Shabana Mahmood's] facing a battle here. She's got 80 Labour MPs who think that it's too tough and think this kind of makes it harder off people of permanently stay in the UK."
I shouldn't be able to find out my own MP's home address, let alone the home address of an MP who lives at the other end of the country. If we didn't have bent civil servants, willing to sell information; such as Ann Widdecombe's home address, to any Tom, Dick or terrorist with sufficient Crypto coins to pay the going rate, she would still be here with us.
Sorry I cant take Times Radio seriously anymore after your shameless attack on Nigel Farage. You have shown yourselves to be part of the gl8balist establishment to destroy Reform. What a terrible demise of a once great newspaper. Shame on you.
On the Gov.UK petitions website there is a petition to allow those who arrived here under the TORIES to be given ILR after 5 years. It has a healthy number of signatures and looking at the map of votes they are all metropolitan areas with high numbers of ‘minority communities’ and all are from Labour constituencies.
There is enough to warrant a debate which may have happened.
Now bearing in mind it was Johnson’s policy (apparently) you would think there would be a desire to make political capital on a Tory decision but there is nothing.
Absolute silence. An open goal yet no one wants to score a goal.
Strange.🙄
Labour wanted Burnham to make them feel good and win elections. They can’t have both. Andy needs to tell them, “I hear you, but I have to respectfully ignore you” but more likely he’ll say, “Ignore Shabana - I’LL GIVE YOU BENEFITS, ARTIFICIAL EQUALITY, TAX THE RICH TILL THEY’RE POOR, AND LOADS OF SOLAR FARMs”
At this point Labour MPs will be jumping at the candy and will ignore immigration toughness.)
Id get rid of the word indefinite altogether. Causes a whole heap of legal problems down the line. People still have protection. You have a right to remain unless you commit violent crime. Radical, I know.
Burnham showing his cowardice already. Starmer in mascara. He has a chance to sort out the Boriswave and shoot Reform's fox - if he bottles that then he's failed on day 1. As for allowing a bunch of Labour harridans to be judge and jury on their colleagues careers with this spiteful list - they should be told to report allegations if they can stand them up, not smear people with untested gossip. Utterly shameful and Burnham should tell them they are out of line. He won't of course.
From a party who wants to abolish trial by jury, it should be no surprise that they have a 'list' of those they don't like with an aim of affecting their careers, but allowing no chance of refuting it.
MP’s are worried about their safety!!!!!!!!
They operate in a building with 24 hr armed security, £65 million security gates, the whole apparatus of state protection, their constituents y offices have panic alarms, CCTV, personal visits from security officers to abide on safety and all at taxpayers expense.
The rest of us are forced to endure the society the politicians have created with 101 and a crime number .
I doubt most people could identify their local MP in a line up.
You can always rely on radical open borders left wing labour MPs to shoot the party in the foot
