the big problem with watch/headphones being AI devices is that they both mostly require a phone, so they're phone accessories at this point not standalone AI/utility devices.
On the couples both using headphones in public, my girlfriend and I often do this but a strong majority of the time it's just for noise cancelling with nothing playing.

To be fair, as long as any "AI gadget" requires connection to the online servers to use any AI related feature, it's not an "AI gadget" to me.
A real AI gadget must store LLMs inside its own storage, and must have necessary capabilities to utilize said model, when it comes to NPU and SoC.
