it's kinda weird that people keep calling China an ally of Russia in this war. U'd think that if this was the case, we (NATO) either would have to escalate the proxy war or lose Ukraine, because when it comes to Drone and Military manufacture the entirety of NATO doesn't even amount to fraction of what China could give Russia. From all I know they are just trade partners with Russia, same with India or in fact most countries that's not in the EU or North America.
That said, I'd actually have to wonder that when we say "Ukraine can not lose the war", would a Russian defeat or change of government be crossing a red line for China or India? Or more importantly, wether Putin is willing to press the Launch Nuke button, when he's about to go down.
I do wonder where our anti-sino sentiments stems from, did they hurt us anywhere or blindly go around declare wars? Why are we suprised that a superpower wants to break out of an encirclement of islands thats stops them from going into the pacific. Whereas the US jsut randomly goes around and kidnaps presidents in their own backyard.
Sometimes, and frankly far too often, academics make predictions that are completely detached from reality. Sheltered behind the thick walls of academia, they seem remarkably insulated from the world outside and the realities the rest of us have to deal with.
Theres people that keep saying Russia is winning and than theres people saying why Russia cant win. Im tired . I feel like everyone who does YouTube vid doesn't really have facts and ever is opinion. You cant really know whos winning
Looks like Xi is prepared to fight the Ukraine war to the last Russian. I mean what's not to like? China gets discounted energy it can pay for in its own currency. Chinese businesses are doing well selling to the Russian war machine. China's biggest and potentially most dangerous neighbour is diminished - it practically becomes a vassal. It's a win-win-win.
I misread the title on the screen as “Trump is evaporated with Putin” and thought it’s a wonderful news. Then I got exasperated when I realized they didn’t evaporate.
History teaches us nothing if we ignore it's lessons. As history has a habit of repeating it's self. Mankind keeps making the same mistakes and the world is full of madmen.
It was not Hungarian Empire it was Austrian-Hungary Empire ! The Emperor was ruling from Viena !

I don't know, Mara. History usually rhymes but rarely repeats exactly, so I'm not sure if those parallels actually give us a roadmap here.
