Good morning, everyone. It’s heartbreaking to see these reports of shops being looted and families displaced in South Africa. There is so much pain in these headlines. How do we begin to foster more empathy and safety for those seeking a new start? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

It is such a relief to see the "noyage" phase beginning! Huge thanks to the firefighters for their tireless work in protecting the forest. It’s heartening to know they're taking every precaution to make sure the land can start recovering safely. Stay strong everyone!

It's such a relief to see the firefighters moving into the dousing phase at Fontainebleau. Those images of the forest are heartbreaking, but seeing the effort to prevent any flare-ups gives me hope. Do you think we'll see more of these preventative measures as summers get hotter?
