Sadly I'm 72 years old and I don't think I'll live long enough to see them find anything.

Every operation anywhere would have to have a dump site of discarded items or trash. Is there not a location like this on the island that would have evidence of animal bones, discarded waste containers, etc.?

An entire island and one senior citizen with a metal detector.

Thank you.

This is a compelling story that has developed over hundreds of years, if we take it as given that initially two islands existed then it is likely the ideal scenario to sail a treasure galleon into the shallows between them in order to offload whatever was onboard and then to burn the evidence. So, how many people and for how long would it take to build all of the (hidden) structures and traps on the island? There must have been a significant workforce. You could house them initially on the grounded galleon but there must have been additional vessels and personnel to build everything on the island before they died of old age and disease and before they were discovered by accident by potentially other vessels. It is not like you can send for reinforcements or additional supplies so everything must have been brought in by the original arrivals. If this is the case then it must have been a sizeable flotilla with valuables beyond imagination to go to all this trouble….. The Templars story seems the most plausible, anything later than this, was probably treasure hunters who somehow heard the story and came looking, or had inside information of where to go. It is likely most of the origin

a professional treasure hunting crew that's been stuck having to dig on an island, get mesmerized by old nails or wood in the dirt, and haven't successfully found any treasure since 2013 (when the history channel started documenting the search on the island). 12 1/2 years andddd still no treasure. just a cross, brooches, a single coin, and a wooden structure. the only real treasure is the money that the network is giving them to stay lol

Ode to Billy.. Master Operator 👌

The real treasure is the countless millions they have wasted chasing this non-existent treasure😂
