At my OCDs peak, I would wash my hands to the point of bleeding, needed to wear gloves cause of the wounds and couldn't leave the home without building in a time buffer for turning around at some point in the journey to go home and make sure I had turned things off, locked doors, or whatever was harassing my brain. When people would say to me "Oh I'm a bit OCD too cause I like my DVDs in alphabetical order" it did make me want to punch them, but then I'd have to wash my hands more (disclaimer I didn't really want to punch them, it's a joke)
