They're probably already working on it but an ideer for the bow shock thermal damage to the heat shield hit the ole semi functional noggin....
Two words - Skid. Plate.
Yeah. Make that bad section with the damage, specifically, the "center" of the burn area with the kicked-around idea of ullage gas to cool the local shield.... The rest of the shield doesn't seem to suffer.
Oooo, and, called it. That hasn't, in my fairly vivid memory, happened where superheavy started all engines to go then shut down for an abort. Perhaps it was a test of sorts, checking how the pad responds to a full scale abort.
(Yes, I double-checked on a different device. Same issue. Also I've seen at least one live stream comment from someone else, about this phenomenon, on the previous stream (booster rollout). So it's not just me.)

For anyone looking for a technical question to ask the NSF team tomorrow (or wanting to give their superchat content if they feel like it), I can think of quite a list of things that NSF hasn't speculated on in a while (as far as I know, could have missed it) and which could spark some discussions that might be worthwhile:
-Based on the flight 13 timeline, what is the current production rate of ships and boosters? How many more can they build before the end of 2026 and how many will they fly?
-When will the gigabay at starbase be fully enclosed? And when will SpaceX start stacking the first ship (it'll probably be a ship) in there?
-If SpaceX can get gigabay at least stacking ships as fast as the current megabay by the end of the year, how many ships should they be able to build in 2027? 24? More? Less? How many launches would that allow for 2027 depending on ship reuse? Can their pads and booster fleet handle that?
-Which ship number, as of now, do you think will be the first prototype fuel depot, which the first prototype tanker, and which the first prototype HLS?
