3:52 You might summon an angry ElectroBOOM if you repeat that phase too much.

Does anyone else wish to sit with these two and join in the conversation?
Would make a change from listening to my mates down the pub.

I'm rarely worried by anything said in 'The Rest is Science' but the suggestion that there is no such thing as seven shook me!
@
I think saying AI will be as big of a deal as electricity really undersells how big of a deal electricity has been
@
this is probably the most genuine excitement both have shown over something and I'm all for it

2:06 well done nice touch 👌 LOL

2:05 I love you editor(s)

Also I should say that actually the sparks coming off a Van DeGraff generator are actually several Amps in addition to thousands of Volts! However, it happens so quickly that the actual amount of charge you receive is pretty insignificant. Electricity gets waaay more complex than the common “Amps kill” narrative would have you believe :P

“That’s really cool,” they both say, as they are clutching their chests and looking terrified. 😂

I beg to differ.
A Perfect Circle existed.. as a music band, from 1999 - and continues to exist at present.
That said, they do swap out members from time to time, so it's a variable perfection.

i've lived in india for a bit and that head wobble can mean multiple things and can vary like how tone in a sentence can vary. as michael said it can mean 'yes i'm following' but can also show justified anger or irritation, or a 'yeah sure', or can show amicability or warmth, or can diffuse someone's uncertainty and show that things are okay, or can show agreement etc. so i don't think it can quite be fit into a 'yes' or 'no' box.

edit: i should've said specifically i lived in tamil nadu and i've visited kerala

Imagine feeling so misunderstood and alone that you relate more to the birds 😢

I’m shocked that Michael didn’t know that Volts x Amps = Watts.
Shocked I say… totally Shocked.

and i thought “do you own your own foot” was a crazy title

7:40 mildly pedantic, but electrocution is a portmanteau of electric and execution, so if you survived you weren't electrocuted, just electrified.

TIL that the Harry Potter theme is the oldest song Hannah Fry still remembers
