artist and drafter here - you can get up to 14B pencils but the hardest they go to is 9H. also, that graphgear 500 is pretty good, but check out the aluminum bodied graphgear 1000 - it has a fully retractable metal tip so you can avoid bending it. that's my favorite mech pencil
