Thank you Times Radio and Andrew Neil for discussing this. It's absolutely disgusting how Burnham is being allowed to waltz into Number 10 with almost zero scrutiny or accountability.
I guess this country is no different to North Korea or Russia now, where the ruling regime anoints its next dictator without any say from the people. Even Burnham himself said during the Tory PM merry go round, that there should be a general election, but now the dictator elect is silent. Why the hypocrisy? In fact, this case is much more undemocratic as this dictator wasn't even a member of parliament at the time of the last election. Notice how the corrupt media that panders to this regime is so silent on this slide into authoritarianism.
Burnham most certainly does not have any legitimacy. This is tantamount to a coup. No legitimacy, no mandate and, I'm guessing, NO idea! His honeymoon period will be measured in minutes, not even weeks. Especially, given that, as thing stand, Parliament will go into recess almost instantly once Burnham is "coronated". This is not democracy! This is unacceptable. Totally and utterly unacceptable!
He's a perfect fit for the role of Labour PM. He is leaving Manchester with a debt of £1.7billion, just like every Labour PM since WW2 has left office with the country in debt and worst-off than when they took charge.
Yet another outrage.... another individual again becoming pm with no validation by the public. I dont expect he will last for long but the UK is in such a mess we can't waste another 12 months seeing him gradually outed from office
It is strange that out of 415 labour MPs , not even one felt able to lead the party or the country. Instead , they had to parachute a guy who did not fight the election in 2024. This is a guy who has failed twice before. It does not bode well for labour.
Stop doing the previews of the video, it is so annoying! The video is 8 minutes long, we don't need a preview of it!!!!!
