This is not a criminal matter, it’s a parliamentary standards matter, thus its not corruption. Its is likely Nigel will be found guilty of not disclosing, what is a perfectly legal gift, and will be suspected from parliament and possibly forced into a by election. It seems to me Nigel has pre-empted what was going to occur anyway. Forcing a by-election and then if parliament forces another by-election soon after, the focus will be on parliament forcing another by-election rather than Nigel not disclosing his gift. This is clearly the logical result of the rules Parliament possesses. If Nigel did not do this he would of likely been forced into a by-election with the main topic being his undisclosed gift. When you can't defeat an opponent fairly, often the establishment will use tricky ways to do this, just look at le Pen.
