The ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano is assigned as pilot. ESA is also providing its third European Service Module for this crewed test flight in Earth orbit, which will be key for the mission’s objective

Luca Parmitano is an absolute colossus of European manned spaceflight. I have no doubts he will live up to the expectations, and I’m proud to see the first European astronaut taking part to the Artemis program, even if it’s just in LEO (for now).
