If one looks at the macro numbers of tens/hundreds of billions spent on other things he has a "bit of a point", for example, the welfare bill (not incl. the state pension) is ~£180 billion a year (76%of that going to the White demographic, who are 82% of the UK population) whilst the welfare bill for illegal immigrants is £4B a year (so 4 vs 180 seems small), BUT...any billions saved from the various costs due to illegal immigration can still be used for other important things. For example, I'm pretty sure the MOD would have welcomed that £4B for the Defence Investment Plan (DIP).
Then there's lots of other government departments who could've used that too for certain things. Education, infrastructure, housing, etc. (NHS already gets 10% of the £3 Trillion of GDP so they just need to be more efficient).
Personally I'd like to see that money used to resurface every broken road in the UK and seriously fix the astronomical number of pot holes!! It's like driving a cart down a medievil track these days!
Muslim immigration has literally destroyed all big cities. This needs to be addressed. Problem is these people are citizens or even born here. And yet, it has ro be addressed
I respect Paul's opinion greatly, but it's a pity he didn't bring any evidence to back up his claim about immigrants not being an economic drag. The data from Denmark and Holland demonstrate that non European migrants each cost between €70k and €200k each. I can't believe that we won't see the same patterns. Also, once we factor in the educational cost per child over a school lifetime these costs will surely mount. His snapshot of current cost needs to be extrapolated out to the chain of family migration over a lifetime. Finally, immigration should not only be viewed from a cost perspective, societal cohesion needs to addressed and we have lost that.
